
BIOGRAPHY

​​​Ross studied for four years at the University of Leeds specialising in oboe and obtaining a Bachelors in Music (BMus). He then went on to study at the RNCM for a further two years under the tuition of Stephane Rancourt, Jenny Galloway and Ruth Contractor, achieving his Masters in Music (MMus) in the summer of 2024.

Through his studies he has gained experience working with a number professionals across the music industry, has developed skills for playing in variety of groups and settings and has devised a number of his own performance based projects:

Ross has played with the RNCM Symphony and Chamber Orchestras, as well as SVO and the South Yorkshire Symphony Orchestra. He has also recorded with the Socrates Symphony Orchestra and the RNCM wind orchestra.

He enjoys discovering new music and creating modern adaptations of classic works, not shying away from the experimental side of music and performance. He also uses his musical training through his work as an artistic swimming coach helping to develop some of the top athletes in the country​​​​.
